The eyes of the sporting world will be on NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas this Sunday, and not only are bookmakers offering a host of betting markets on the matchup itself, they are also offering a whole bunch of betting specials that involve Lady Gaga and the new US President Donald Trump.

Donald Trump Betting Specials

Donald Trump has taken charge of the most powerful nation on the planet, but will he put in an appearance at one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar – the Super Bowl? No sitting President of the United States has ever personally attended the NFL’s showpiece game, but we all know that Mr Trump is no ordinary President and he is apparently friends with New England owner Robert Kraft, head coach Bill Belichick and star quarterback Tom Brady. So could he turn up to offer his support in person?

Paddy Power is 7/1 that Mr Trump will be at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas this Sunday, while the Irish bookmaker is 50/1 that he makes a shock appearance on stage during the half-time show performed by Lady Gaga.

And if Mr Trump does attend Super Bowl LI, what will he be wearing? The Irish bookmaker is offering odds on what colour tie the US President would choose to wear for the game, with red (the colour of the Falcons) the odds-on favourite at 4/9 and blue (the colour of the Patriots) next up at 11/4. Silver (5/1) and Gold (6/1) are the favourite colours if he looks to go neutral.

Will Donald Trump be at the Super Bowl: 7/1 Yes

What colour tie will Donald Trump wear at the game: 4/9 Red; 11/4 Blue; 5/1 Silver; 6/1 Gold; 12/1 Purple; 14/1 Black; 16/1 Green; 16/1 White; 25/1 Pink.

Lady Gaga Half-Time Show Betting Specials

Lady Gaga will follow in the footsteps of some legendary acts by performing the traditional Super Bowl half-time show – but what does the ‘Bad Romance’ singer have in store for viewers across the globe?

Paddy Power is offering odds on the colour of her first lipstick as well as the colour of her hair, while you can also bet on how many outfits the extravagant singer/actress wears during the set which is expected to last for around 15 minutes.

However, the most interesting market is the one that offers odds on her mentioning the new United States President Donald Trump, with Paddy Power 5/6 she does and 5/6 she does not. Gaga publicly supported Trump’s rival, Hillary Clinton, during last year’s election and she was pictured protesting outside of Trump Tower in November. The NFL has denied it has told her not to mention the President during her performance, but the league will not want to court any controversy – it’s been playing safe with half-time shows since Janet Jackson’s breast was exposed to the world – and I have a feeling Gaga may have been urged to keep quiet on Trump.

Colour of Lady Gaga’s first lipstick: 4/11 Red; 5/1 Peach; 11/2 Pink; 10/1 Black; 10/1 Purple; 25/1 Yellow.

Lady Gaga’s first hair colour: 1/6 Blonde; 7/2 Any Other Colour.

How many outfits will Lady Gaga wear during half-time: 4/6 Over 2.0; 11/10 Under 2.0

Will Lady Gaga mention Donald Trump: 5/6 Yes; 5/6 No.

National Anthem Betting Specials

Country singer Luke Bryan has been handed the honour of performing the national anthem prior to kick-off, and Paddy Power is offering a couple of markets for his performance. We all know some famous acts have dragged out their performance of the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ over the years and you can bet on how long Bryan will take to get the job done. You can also bet on him repeating Christina Aguilera’s blunder in 2011 by singing the wrong words, with Paddy Power 6/1 that the country star omits a word during his performance.

Other Super Bowl Betting Specials

The Super Bowl has seen power outages and streakers over the years and you can bet on either of those incidents occurring at Super Bowl LI, while you can also bet on the colour of the first Gatorade dunked on the winning head coach and the colour of commentator Joe Buck’s tie.

The coin toss also offers a bunch of options with Paddy Power offering the ability to back the winner of the toss, the result of the toss itself or whether or not a team will win the coin toss and then go on to win the Super Bowl itself.

Coin toss result: 20/21 Heads; 20/21 Tails.

Coin toss winner: 10/11 New England Patriots; 10/11 Atlanta Falcons.

Team to receive opening kick-off: 10/11 New England Patriots; 10/11 Atlanta Falcons.

Coin toss winner wins game: 10/11 Yes; 10/11 No.

To win coin toss & win game: 11/5 New England Patriots; 7/2 Atlanta Falcons

50/1 A power outage to interrupt play

16/1 A streak invades the field during the broadcast
